MineralsEd, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and Westshore Terminals (WT) together invite teachers on a field trip to see Canada's global trade in action. Visit port operations at Roberts Bank in Delta, beginning with a site tour at Westshore Terminals, Canada's largest coal export facility. Next up is the Container Trail tour including Canada's largest container terminal at Deltaport, a busy container depot and huge logistics warehouses.

Together they will introduce you to the the terminals in Delta, the commodities handled, the logistics required to run safely and efficiently, the variety of jobs for skilled workers, the role of the port in shipping B.C. coal and other resources globally, and the economic impacts of port operations. You will have a front row seat to see these deep sea terminals up close and have opportunities to meet people working in an important transportation hub.
Start: 8:00 am Port of Vancouver Delta Community Office, Trenant Park Square, Ladner (5225A Ladner Trunk Rd),
End: 1:00 pm Note: Bus transportation is provided from the Delta Community Office Coffee and breakfast treats will be provided by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. Please bring snacks and a water bottle as required to tide you over until the field trip ends. Although you're on a bus, this is an outdoor field
trip. Be prepared for the weather and make sure to bring your camera!
